We have our own opinion on the best anime waifus, but since Anime Bracket is running a “best anime girls” voting competition on Reddit we thought we’d share the results, along with some of our waifu art. I’m not exactly sure how these finalists were chosen or who were the contenders, but it looks pretty legit and it’s a great way to get a vibe on which animes are most popular. This thing had a decent number of votes so the results are informative.
I’ve been an anime devotee for as long as I can remember, and let me tell you, there’s something incredibly special about the girls in anime. They’re so much more than just characters; they’re complex, intriguing, and often heartbreakingly real. So, here’s a quick introduction to the internet’s favorite girls from original anime series. These girls have made me laugh, cry, and even question my own existence. Buckle up, because this is going to be quite a ride!
PS. I listed the most and least votes for just the winner and loser (at the current time) – to get a sense of things. Each of these anime girls had at least 2K votes which isn’t nothing, and also skews more towards Western fans most likely.

With her dramatic flair, stubborn determination, and, of course, her infatuation with explosion magic, Megumin is a memorable character that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.

Next on my list is Zero Two, the enigmatic heroine from “Darling in the Franxx”. With her pink hair, red horns, and captivating personality, Zero Two is nothing short of mesmerizing. She’s fierce, independent, and radiates an undeniable charm, making her an unforgettable character.
Vivy
Moving on, we have Vivy from “Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song”. As an AI tasked with saving humanity, Vivy’s journey is as intriguing as it is poignant. Her resilience, dedication, and struggle with understanding human emotions make her a unique and compelling character.
Yui Yuigahama / Iroha Isshiki
From the hit series “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU”, we have Yui Yuigahama and Iroha Isshiki. Both of them are complex characters dealing with their own insecurities and unrequited love. Their emotional journeys are heartfelt and relatable, making them stand out in the sea of anime characters.
